Idols Of Ash – First-Person Horror Parkour Game
Idols Of Ash is a first-person dark fantasy horror game developed by Leafy Games and released on April 6, 2026. It drops you straight into a vertical descent through ash-covered ruins, where movement is everything and stopping for too long feels like a mistake. It’s a first-person horror parkour experience with a constant sense of pressure, mostly because there’s always something behind you… even if you don’t see it.
Key Features
- Grappling Hook Movement:
Swinging feels smooth but takes practice. Angle and timing matter more than you expect at first. - Vertical Level Design:
You’re always going down, and somehow it just keeps getting tighter and more difficult. - 3D Spatial Audio:
You can track the creature by sound alone, which is helpful… but also kind of stressful. - Dynamic Atmosphere:
Fog and lighting shift each run slightly, making things feel a bit unfamiliar every time. - No Combat:
There’s nothing to fight with. It’s just you, your movement, and how well you handle pressure.
Player Guide
| Action | Control |
|---|---|
| Move | W / A / S / D |
| Look Around | Mouse or screen |
| Jump | Space |
| Sprint | Shift |
| Grapple | Hold Left Click |
| Interact | E (or tap) |
Take a moment to read the space before moving; rushing blindly usually ends badly.
Listen carefully, the game tells you a lot through sound, sometimes more than visuals do.
Master The Game Rules
- Keep your flow going; stopping too much makes everything harder
- Jumps and swings are more about timing than raw speed
- Looking back slows you down more than you’d expect
- The creature doesn’t need to be visible to be dangerous. Assume it’s always closed
- Some routes are faster, but they’re also riskier
